The Problem
The Office Sector looks simple until you need a specific room and realize there are three floors, two wings, and a basement you never found. Where is everything?
The Solution
The Office Sector is the first area you enter, the hub you return to most often, and the most interconnected zone in the game. Despite being the starting area, it hides rooms behind keycard upgrades you won't have until 20 hours later. This map covers every named room, every locked door, and every route.
Level 1: The Plaza and Surrounding Areas
This is where you wake up. Everything branches from here.
Plaza (Central Hub)
- What's here: Fountain (fishing spot), Warren Bunnings (first trader), vending machines, bench seating
- Connects to: Cafeteria (south), Reception (north), Tram Station (northwest stairwell), Level 2 stairwell (east)
- Security note: No clearance required. The Plaza is a safe zone β enemies rarely spawn here.
Cafeteria
- What's here: Kitchen stove, Chef trader (appears at Cooking Level 3), vending machines, sinks (water source), seating area
- Connects to: Plaza (north), Storage Room (east door)
- Loot: Food items on counters, cooking ingredients in cabinets. Check the back shelves for salt and spice containers.
Reception / Front Desk
- What's here: Main entrance to the facility. Front desk with computers.
- Connects to: Plaza (south), exterior surface tunnel (north door for late-game escape)
- Key items: Early-game electronics on desk. Computer terminals with lore entries.
Storage Room (Level 1 East)
- What's here: Shelving units, crates, basic loot
- Connects to: Cafeteria (west), Level 2 stairwell (east)
- Loot: Wood planks, plastic scrap, basic crafting materials. Good first-stop for new characters.
Tram Station (Level 1, Lower Northwest)
- What's here: Tram terminal, tram car that travels to Manufacturing West, Cascade Labs, and Containment
- Connects to: Plaza stairwell (down), Manufacturing West (tram), Labs (tram)
- Key items: Tram schedule on the wall shows all stops. You will use this tram constantly.
Basement / Lower Level
- What's here: Maintenance corridors, generator room, locked storage
- Connects to: Level 1 via stairwell near the Tram Station
- Security: Some rooms require Level 1 keycard. Return here after getting your first keycard.
- Loot: Electrical components, Makeshift Battery parts, rare spawn for a Security Pistol in a locker.
Level 2: The Security Floor
Reach via stairwells from Plaza (east) or near Reception.
Security Office β Best Early Base
- What's here: Coffee machine, multiple wall outlets, metal security shutters
- Connects to: Level 2 main corridor
- Why it's S-tier: The metal shutters have a button β press it, everything outside can't reach you. Best built-in defense in early game. Coffee machine gives infinite +movement speed buff.
- Security: No clearance required to enter. The shutters are pre-installed.
Surveillance Room
- What's here: Camera monitors, computers, tech scrap
- Connects to: Level 2 corridor near Security Office
- Loot: Tech Scrap, Computer components. Good for early electronics runs.
Level 2 Offices (West Wing)
- What's here: Cubicles, desks, filing cabinets
- Loot: Office supplies. Staplers. Duct tape on desks. Worth sweeping once per respawn cycle for Staplers (high value crafting component).
Level 2 East Wing
- What's here: Additional offices, a conference room, and a locked IT closet
- Security: IT closet requires Level 2 keycard. Inside: server racks (scrap electronics), rare chance of a Computation Brick.
Gym (Level 2 West)
- What's here: Swimming pool (infinite water + fishing), exercise equipment, single entrance
- Connects to: Level 2 corridor
- Base potential: One entrance. Large space. Pool for water. If you prefer a bigger base than the Security Office, this is it.
Level 3: Administration and Rooftop Access
Reach via stairwell at the far end of Level 2.
Admin Offices
- What's here: Executive offices, higher-tier loot than Level 2
- Security: Most doors require Level 2 keycard
- Loot: Advanced electronics, rare chance of a Memory Brick on a desk
Rooftop Access
- What's here: Exterior rooftop overlooking the facility entrance
- Connects to: Surface tunnel entrance (late-game escape route)
- Key items: Radio equipment, weather exposure (heat/cold depending on in-game conditions)
Director's Office
- What's here: Large corner office, personal safe
- Security: Level 3 keycard required on the door
- Loot: The safe contains high-value loot β Quantum Glass, rare weapon components, sometimes a unique armor piece. Worth returning to after you have Level 3 clearance.
