Route Buff Prep Planner
Pick a route type, flag the risks that apply, and turn source-backed food, hunger, and thirst effects into a practical prep checklist.
Route Prep Planner
Choose the route, then copy a prep checklist
This planner turns wiki-backed buffs and debuffs into a practical route checklist. It keeps the advice conservative where exact duration or patch-specific numbers may change.
Recommended prep
- Start with both hunger and thirst high enough to keep Copacetic active.
- Carry one extra food option and one extra drink for the return trip.
- Avoid starting the run while Peckish, Dry Mouth, or fatigue pressure is already active.

Buff names and effects are checked against the official wiki. Use this page as a route-prep planner, not a promise that every food item or every patch-specific value is represented.
How to use this planner
Abiotic Factor status effects are easy to overlook because several of them come from ordinary survival upkeep rather than rare gear. Use this page before a long route, boss attempt, or portal-world farm to choose a scenario, mark likely risks, and copy a preparation checklist before you leave base.
- Start with basic condition effects such as hunger, thirst, and temperature so a route does not fail from avoidable attrition.
- Add food buffs only when they support the next task, such as a dangerous fight, a cold area, a long carry route, or repeated portal runs.
- Treat debuffs as planning warnings. If a route commonly causes one of them, carry the fix before you enter instead of reacting late.
What the planner actually does
Long hauls
Converts hunger, thirst, and sustain priorities into a checklist for routes where returning to base would waste a portal cycle or loot run.
Hard fights
Highlights passive sustain and situational food effects before encounters where a missed heal or stamina penalty can force a recovery run.
Patch checks
Keeps patch-sensitive effects conservative and tells you when to verify exact values before planning a build around one buff.
Source scope
- Buff names, debuff names, trigger conditions, and stable numerical effects are checked against the official wiki before being listed here.
- Carefully Cooked variants (Cooking Skill Level 5+) may grant stronger versions of listed food buffs.
- This planner covers hunger, thirst, temperature-relevant prep, and food buffs only. Trait, job, and equipment buffs are intentionally left out until they can be modeled accurately.
