The Problem

“I keep hearing about Portal Worlds but I do not know how to access them or what they offer.”

⚡ Before You Start

Unlock at least one portal access route (Flathill from Silo 3 in Office Sector is the first).
Have a Keypad Hacker or keycard matching the portal access door clearance level.
Bring supplies for a short extraction run: sneakers, bandages, noise decoy.

🎒 What to Bring

■Sneakers for faster movement
■Bandages and healing items
■Noise decoy for pulling hostile entities away from narrow paths

Prerequisites

  • Unlock at least one portal access route (Flathill from Silo 3 in Office Sector is the first).
  • Have a Keypad Hacker or keycard matching the portal access door clearance level.
  • Bring supplies for a short extraction run: sneakers, bandages, noise decoy.

Recommended Loadout

  • Sneakers for faster movement
  • Bandages and healing items
  • Noise decoy for pulling hostile entities away from narrow paths

Common Mistakes

  • 1.Entering a Portal World without identifying the exit portal first and getting lost after looting.
  • 2.Trying to full-loot Flathill on the first visit instead of grabbing the objective and extracting.
  • 3.Standing upright near Giants when their torso is visible — they will detect and chase you.

The Problem

I keep hearing about Portal Worlds but I do not know how to access them or what they offer.

The Solution

Portal Worlds are other dimensions outside the GATE Facility. They reset periodically (daily/few days), making all resources inside renewable. Each has an entrance portal and an exit portal that deposits you near the entrance. Major story portals: Flathill (foggy town, from Silo 3 in Office Sector — first three Power Cells are here), Far Garden (from Silo 2 in Office Sector), The Mycofields (fungi world, from Cascade Labs containment lift top floor), The Night Realm (through gateways created by the IS-0059 Reaper), Voussoir (via Neutrino Detector portal), and Rise. Portal resets make all worlds renewable for resources. Always identify the exit portal location immediately upon entering so you can retreat for supply runs.

Step-by-Step

  1. Access Flathill from Office Sector Level 2 Reception — kill the Pest, walk to the third keypad, go through the portal.
  2. Upon entering any Portal World, immediately locate both the entrance and exit portals before exploring.
  3. In Flathill, route toward Silo 3 for Power Cell progress — the first three story Power Cells are here and respawn on reset.
  4. Remember that Giants cannot see you with their head — only torso visibility matters. Crouch past when their torso is obscured.
  5. Use Portal World resets as renewable farming (see farming guide) cycles: Super Tomatoes, Anteverse Wheat, and rare ingredients all regenerate.

Common Mistakes

  • Entering a Portal World without identifying the exit portal first and getting lost after looting.
  • Trying to full-loot Flathill on the first visit instead of grabbing the objective and extracting.
  • Standing upright near Giants when their torso is visible — they will detect and chase you.
