Containment Unit 91 maintenance: power, fuel, alarms, and daily output
Keep a captured Leyak or Krasue contained by checking power, the correct resource, warning states, and the output chute on a repeatable schedule.
Original anomalies loop
Turn containment upkeep into a repeatable inspection cycle. Source basis: the references listed on this page, checked for game version 1.4. This original planning diagram is not to scale and is not copied game or wiki media.
Capture and maintenance are separate jobs
Containment Unit 91 can hold the Leyak or Krasue after the entity is drawn near and exposed to the documented X-Ray or OX equipment. Once captured, the unit must remain powered and supplied with the correct entity-specific resource. Capturing successfully does not make containment permanent.
Entity matrix
| Entity | Capture equipment | Maintenance resource | Output |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leyak | X-Ray Lamp or Tower; OX equipment also works | Greyeb | Leyak Essence |
| Krasue | OX Lamp or Tower is required | Vial of Milk | Frozen Essence |
Use the current unit and entity pages before changing this setup. Do not put the resource for one entity into a unit containing the other.
Inspection loop
- Verify continuous power at the containment circuit.
- Read the front resource bars and identify the loaded resource by its documented color.
- Refill with the correct resource before the bars reach empty.
- Investigate an audible alarm or red warning light immediately.
- Keep X-Ray or OX response equipment available in case containment fails.
- Check the chute for the documented daily essence output.
The current source states that one refill item restores half of the charge and a full unit lasts seven in-game days, with output at 6 AM. These are precise, patch-sensitive values and should remain tied to the linked current source.
Base placement decisions
Put the unit on a circuit whose failure is visible and easy to reach. Store the correct refill resource nearby but outside any area that becomes unsafe if the entity escapes. Keep the response lamp or tower operational; a decorative containment room without recovery equipment creates a single point of failure.
Failure recovery
- Alarm and red light appear. Check power, depletion, and wrong resource in that order.
- The entity escapes. Use the appropriate X-Ray or OX response and restore the unit before attempting recapture.
- No essence appears. Verify that the correct entity remains contained and check the documented output time.
- The unit shares an overloaded circuit. Move it to a stable circuit; power continuity is part of containment.
Completion condition
The system is ready when power, correct fuel, alarm response, recapture gear, and output collection all have assigned checks. Use the Leyak behavior guide for encounter recognition and the X-Ray layout guide for defensive coverage outside the containment room.
Assign ownership in solo and co-op bases
In a solo save, attach the inspection to a routine that already happens near 6 AM, such as collecting food or checking power. In co-op, assign one primary maintainer and one backup. "Everyone will notice" is not a maintenance plan, especially when players use different bases or portal routes.
Keep a small refill reserve and label it with the entity it supports. Greyeb belongs to Leyak containment; Vials of Milk belong to Krasue containment. A mixed chest next to several units makes the documented wrong-resource failure more likely. If both entities are held, separate the storage and place a visible identifier beside each unit.
The alarm response should have an order. First restore or confirm power. Next check whether the resource bars are depleted or show the wrong resource. Then verify the response lamp or tower is available before approaching the unit. If the entity has already escaped, switch from maintenance to the documented encounter procedure rather than standing at the control panel.
Treat essence collection as the final check, not proof that every other state is safe. A missed output may indicate timing, containment state, or a collection issue. Record the last successful collection and the next refill requirement. This simple log makes changing consumption or output behavior visible after a patch without inventing a new mechanic from one missed cycle.
Audit one state at a time
When the unit reports a problem, preserve the observed state before changing several inputs. Note whether power is present, which entity is contained, which resource bars are filled, and whether an alarm is active. Correct the first failed condition, then inspect the unit again.
This order matters because power loss, depletion, and a wrong resource can look like one general containment failure from across the room. A staged check gives the team a reproducible cause and avoids publishing a new rule based on several simultaneous changes. If behavior differs after an update, compare the current Unit 91 source before changing the maintenance schedule.
Common Mistakes
| Mistake | Why it happens | How to avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| Putting Greyeb into a Krasue unit | Both resources sit in the same chest and look similar at a glance | Separate storage by entity; label each chest with the entity name |
| Putting Vials of Milk into a Leyak unit | Same mixed-storage problem | Keep Leyak supplies and Krasue supplies in different containers near their respective units |
| No recapture equipment in the containment room | Player treats capture as a one-time event | Keep at least one X-Ray Lamp and one OX Lamp powered and accessible in the room |
| Ignoring the alarm because output still appeared yesterday | Alarm seems non-critical if essence was recently collected | Investigate every alarm immediately; the 6 AM output reflects the previous day's state, not the current one |
| Running the unit on an overloaded power circuit | Player plugs it into the main base grid without checking load | Dedicate a circuit or at least confirm total draw stays under generator capacity |
| Changing multiple inputs during troubleshooting | Panic response to a red warning light | Fix one condition at a time; re-inspect the unit between each change |
| "Everyone will check it" in co-op | No assigned maintainer | Name one primary and one backup maintainer; attach the check to a specific in-game time |
Maintenance schedule reference
| Task | Frequency | Trigger |
|---|---|---|
| Check power continuity | Every login or base visit | Visual: unit panel lights are on |
| Read resource bars | Every in-game morning (before 6 AM) | Color matches the correct entity resource |
| Refill resource | When bars drop below 50% | One refill item restores half charge per current source |
| Collect essence output | Daily after 6 AM | Check the chute; record the pickup |
| Verify recapture gear | Every 2-3 in-game days | X-Ray or OX lamp is powered and within reach |
| Full audit (power + resource + alarm + output) | After any base power change or patch update | Walk through the inspection loop top to bottom |
