Most resources in Abiotic Factor are one-time pickups. Once you grab that Metal Scrap off the floor, it's gone forever. But there are renewable sources: portal worlds that reset twice per week (at midnight between Tue→Wed and Sat→Sun), enemies that respawn at night, and traders with limited stock that replenishes over time.
This guide only lists renewable farming methods. One-time floor pickups are not included.

Common Mistakes
| Mistake | Why it fails | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Looting one-time pickups and expecting respawn | Floor items don't respawn | Use portal worlds for renewables |
| Ignoring traders | Stock replenishes over time | Farm trade items, buy what you need |
| Not visiting portal worlds regularly | Resets give free materials twice per week | Run portals on every reset |
| Salvaging rare items | Can't get them back | Only salvage common or farmable items |
| Hoarding Security Bot CPUs | They're your best trade currency | Spend them at Blacksmith for Anvils |
